The number, type and value of the LDNY scholarships awarded is different each year. But the mission of our scholarship program is constant: to support young women pursuing careers in the food, fine beverage and hospitality industries and currently enrolled in one of our Participating Schools. At the same time, we strive to give back to our communities through education and mentorship. Funding for these scholarships comes from three sources: Corporate, In-Kind and Proprietary.
Corporate scholarships are sponsored by industry corporations or groups representing a specific segment of the food, fine beverage or hospitality industries. LDNY is fortunate to have several on-going scholarship sponsors including: The Society of Wine Educators and The Dunn Robbins Group.
In partnership with our sponsors, LDNY is able to help support the education of women by awarding charitable contributions in the form of In-Kind Scholarships. Our partners include: The International Culinary Center, The Culinary Institute of America, the International Wine Center and The Institute of Culinary Education.
Created by Dames and non-Dames to honor or in memory of someone. The people creating these scholarships can earmark them for a particular discipline or career path.
