Here are a few highlights of what you’ll find inside the July 2009 LDNY Journal click here
A Day of Miracles on the North Fork
51 Dames ventured out for a day on the North Fork of eastern Long Island and visited Satur Farms, Catapano Dairy Farms, Jurgielewicz Farm and the Paumanok Vineyard to sample the produce and wines. If you weren’t there, don’t miss the report, and if you went, relieve the day on page 1 of The Journal.
Dames’ Vietnamese Têt at Tet
Celebrating the Vietnamese New Year with its traditions, culture and, naturally, foods, was at the center of dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant Têt. To read the whole story, please go to the first page of The Journal.
Facebook and Linkedin—Learning about Social Networking
If you have wondered about and thought of investing more into your online life and business, Dames Gale Steves and Corinne Trang are here to help. They shared their knowledge with 30 other Dames at the networking event, and offer great tips in the article on page 3 in The Journal.
Cinco de Mayo at Mañana
Icy margaritas and a warm reception made for the lively Dames’ Cinco de Mayo celebration at Mañana. For more about the festivities hosted by Dames Rita Jammet and Lourdes Castro, please see page 3 of The Journal.
Cheese 101: Not Easy, Very Enjoyable
Murray’s Cheese Academy was the background for an instructional and entertaining cheese class for the Dames, held by Murray’s own Vice President and Dame, Liz Thorpe, effervescent and ebullient standard-bearer for the cheese industry. To read more about the cheese tasting, please go to page 6 in The Journal.
Sincerely,
Vanessa Trost
